Where do you search for inspiration?
The depths of despair, or the heights of elation?

The truth lies in our quest.
The effort exerted must be our best.

Body sluggish and inert,
thoughts conflict and invert

Soft words blow, unspoken in my heart
incensed by broken promises, on my part

I was the one who left you there
Jilted, alone, it wasn’t fair

Joyous recollections don’t seem part of the equation!

That’s it. I’m tired of Maya Angelou getting all the credit for being wise. From now on, DonnaMMiller is the Twitter poet laureate.
